Affiliate Disclosure

The purpose of businessbriefcase.net is to share valuable resources, tips, tools, tutorials, and methods of doing business. This is evident by the fact that I try to give away different resources and do my best to reply to all comments on the site. Probably like yourself, I enjoy helping and sharing with others.

What is an “affiliate commission”?

An affiliate commission means that if you click on one of the links on my website and purchase the item(s) I recommend, at no additional cost to you, I will get a small commission for referring you.  These commissions help me continue to write content, maintain my web server fees, and once in a while it buys me a redbull to work another 15 hour day to serve YOU.

Do these affiliate commissions make you biased?

If readers choose to buy the products that I recommend as a result of my research, analysis, interviews, and testing, it is usually (but not always) supported through an affiliate commission from the service provider when they make a purchase. If readers return their purchases because they’re dissatisfied or the recommendation is bad, I’ll make nothing because the service provider will not pay a commission to me after a refund. There’s no incentive for me to pick inferior products, misrepresent findings, or respond to pressure from service providers—in fact, it’s quite the opposite.

The most important thing to me is the trust I have from you. If I make bad recommendations, I’d lose that trust and won’t be able to recommend more products and services to you in the future.

How do I make money?

This site makes money in two ways.

  1. Advertisements. If you see ads on the site, that is one way we generate a small amount of revenue. We’re not currently running ads on the site at the time of writing.
  2. Referral Links / Affiliate Commissions. When you click referral links on our site, we have the potential to make a some money. To date, we have made $0 from our referral links. These are sometimes called affiliate links, affiliate commissions, etc.

What have I received for free?

To date, I’ve received no free products or services for review.

Anything I’ve reviewed on the site, I’ve paid for out of my own pocket.
